Job summary

Farmers Restaurant Group in the Washington, D.C. area is hiring both full-time and part-time servers. Our team delivers exceptional hospitality in a busy restaurant, with deep knowledge of our scratch-made food and drinks, guiding guests through menus, and creating a welcoming, clean, and relaxed experience.

The hourly rate is $10 plus tips, with benefits and growth opportunities. Servers take orders, serve, check guest satisfaction, and help maintain a positive dining room.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in full or quick service dining.
• Must be 18 years old due to service of alcohol.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Take orders from guests for food and/or beverages.
• Check guest satisfaction and correct issues as needed.
• Check IDs to verify alcohol age requirements.
• Enter orders into handheld devices for kitchen transmission.
• Deliver orders from kitchen, pastry, and bar to tables.
• Bus tables and maintain a clean, inviting environment.
• Count payments and handle transactions.
• Prepare and serve beverages and wine as needed.
• Explain menu items and daily specials to guests.
