Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Scotch Plains is opening a brand-new community and seeks a Server to join our dining team. You’ll help create a clean, welcoming dining environment and deliver thoughtful service to residents.

As a founding team member, you’ll set daily standards, assist with meal service, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive resident experience. Training, uniforms, and a supportive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and Health Department regulations for food service operations.
• Serve food and beverages for residents promptly and courteously.
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals on a timely basis that are presentable and appetizing in appearance.
• Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Handles requests from residents who require assistance with meal selection or have specific needs.
• Sets up the dining room for the next scheduled meal.
• Assists in inventorying supplies.
