Job summary

Bally's Corporation in Dover, Delaware, is looking for a customer-service driven team member to greet guests, take orders, and ensure smooth dining room operations in a fast-paced setting.

You will operate the POS, handle cash and checks, maintain a clean uniform, and provide menu guidance while delivering accurate orders and timely service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Must pass a background check and obtain a DE Lottery license.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests within 2 minutes, make eye contact and smile.
• Take beverage orders within 2 minutes and suggest appetizers or the daily drink special.
• Serve soups and salads within 3 minutes, appetizers within 5 minutes, lunch within 10 minutes, and dinner within 15 minutes.
• Operate the POS system, issue guest checks in a holder, handle cash, and close checks.
• Maintain a personable, customer-service attitude while handling multiple tasks.
• Report for work in a clean and neat complete uniform, including name tag, ID badge, service license, corkscrew, and black non-slip shoes prior to shift start.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the restaurant menu.
• Answer guests' questions about the menu, make suggestions on food specials and the daily soups.
• Write guests’ orders accurately.
• Check dishes for presentation and accuracy before leaving the kitchen.
• Pre-bus and reset tables and assist in running food from the kitchen.
• Remain visible to guests and minimize time spent in the kitchen.
• Complete opening and closing side duties and check with a manager before leaving shift.
• Observe diners' responses to additional requests and address questions as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude.
• Work safely by following established safety rules and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, chefs, and guests.
• Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.
• Comply with the company’s recycling program standards.
• Follow state and company liquor safety rules at all times.
• Be actively at work to perform the essential functions of this job.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Starting Compensation
