Job summary

White Lodging is hiring a Part Time Server for East Town Kitchen + Bar inside the Marriott Milwaukee. You will deliver high-quality service, share menu knowledge, and contribute to an engaging dining atmosphere.

The role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and adaptable scheduling to meet guest needs. Training is provided, with opportunities across premium brand properties in Milwaukee.

Qualifications

• Previous server/restaurant experience preferred but not required; we will train the right candidate.
• Outgoing, social personality with genuine passion for guest service.
• Excellent communication and active listening to read the table and respond to needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality food and beverage service to guests with personal connections and a warm dining atmosphere.
• Complete setup, side work, and closing duties to ensure smooth operations each shift.
• Maintain expert knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes; answer questions confidently.
• Ensure guest satisfaction with food quality, beverage presentation, and overall dining experience from start to finish.
• Promote teamwork and maintain a friendly, safe, and professional hotel restaurant environment.
• Process all payments (cash, card, digital) and complete end-of-shift paperwork and reconciliation.
• Maintain neat, professional appearance as a brand ambassador for the hotel and restaurant.
• Anticipate guest needs and deliver exemplary hospitality to keep guests returning.
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality food and beverage service to all guests — creating personal connections through friendly conversation, intuitive menu suggestions, and a warm, engaging dining atmosphere
• Complete all necessary setup, side work, and closing duties to ensure smooth restaurant and food and beverage operations every shift
• Maintain expert knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes — accurately and confidently answering guest questions about food and drink selections
• Ensure consistent guest satisfaction with food quality, beverage presentation, and overall dining experience from the first course to the final check
• Promote teamwork and contribute to a friendly, safe, and professional hotel restaurant work environment
• Accurately process all payment methods — cash, card, and digital — and complete end‑of‑shift paperwork and reconciliation
• Maintain a neat, professional personal appearance as a brand ambassador for the hotel and restaurant
• Anticipate guest needs and deliver exemplary hospitality that keeps guests coming back
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• Previous server, restaurant, or food and beverage customer service experience preferred — not required; we will train the right candidate
• An outgoing, social personality with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service in a hotel restaurant or dining environment
• Excellent communication and active listening skills — you read the table and respond to guest needs before they have to ask

• Physical ability to stand and move at a fast pace for extended periods; flexibility to work weekends and holidays as business needs require
