Job summary

Genesis Hospitality and Dining LLC is seeking a Restaurant Server to contribute to guest experiences by describing menu items, taking orders, and delivering meals with attentive service.

This part-time role is weekend-focused, with weekday/night/holiday shifts possible. Training is provided, and the team supports flexible scheduling and employee discounts.

Responsibilities

• Describe menu items and ingredients to guests, including how dishes are prepared.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and repeat back to guests for confirmation.
• Input orders into the POS to notify the kitchen of item details.
• Serve orders and check back with guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Replenish beverages and assist with dessert and specialty coffees as requested.
• Present checks and process payments when meals are completed.
• Assist with clearing and resetting tables, maintaining cleanliness.
• Abide by state and corporate rules pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.

Job Summary

The Restaurant Server contributes to the guest experience and customer service within the restaurant by describing items on the menu (ingredients used along with how it is prepared, cooked and served), taking food and beverage orders, serving and checking back with customers during the meal for any additional needs along with providing checks and taking payments.

This is a part time position working primarily weekends. Candidate must also be willing to work weekdays/nights, and/or holidays.

Essential Functions

• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness.
• Record the details of the order from the guests, repeating the order to the guest to check for accuracy.
• Input the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.
• When complete, retrieve order up to 30 lbs. from kitchen, confirm its accuracy, lift and deliver to guest along with appropriate condiments.
• Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
• Market and serve upon request any dessert items or specialty coffees.
• Operate the Point of Sale procedures to pre-check order and close out the check.
• Present the check to guest promptly.
• Assist in clearing , cleaning (sanitizing) and resetting tables.
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
