Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a Winter seasonal server for Crow’s Bench. The role centers on delivering outstanding guest service, taking and delivering orders, and maintaining a clean dining area while following food safety standards.

Knowledge of the menu, allergens, and a strong guest-service mindset are essential. This winter-season position requires being 19 or older, with training provided for Idaho alcohol beverage handling and food safety.

Position Summary

Position Summary: A Crow’s Bench server is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience. They act as the main point of contact between the kitchen and the customer, maintaining a clean and organized dining area while adhering to food safety and service standards. The server is our primary salesperson therefore, thorough knowledge of our menus is critical. This is a Winter seasonal position. Must be 19 years or older to apply.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities

• Will provide exceptional food, beer, liquor and wine service to Crow’s Bench guests.
• Will be accountable for having own bank and making change for guests.
• Requires extensive guest interaction.
• Responsible for daily paperwork and reconciliation.
• Must be knowledgeable of and be accountable for enforcement of Idaho State Liquor and identification laws.
• Will provide bottle service to guests tableside.
• Requires the ability to interact with guests and customers of the resort in a friendly, professional, and accommodating manner every time.
• Will perform opening and closing duties, including polishing and rolling cutlery, vacuuming, polishing glassware, keeping restaurant clean.
• Will work as a team player to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Responsible to keep up on side work while managing tables.
• Must be capable of managing and exceptionally performing multiple tasks simultaneously while paying attention to detail.
• Must have extensive knowledge of the menu and be able to identify potential allergens and give guests suggestions as needed.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean, professional appearance according to Crow’s Bench dress code.

Specific Job Skills

• License/Certifications- Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate and Food Handlers Certification (we will help you obtain).
• Technical- Basic computer knowledge, Utilize POS System (Squirrel)
• Physical Capabilities- Combined standing/walking position for up to 8 hours per shift. Required to lift over 25lbs frequently and over 50lbs occasionally.
• Additional – Strong Guest Service background.

Education/Related Experience: Minimum education required- None Minimum time in related position- Minimum of 6 months of experience required
