Ideal candidates have prior restaurant or cashier experience, strong communication skills, and reliability. This in-person position offers a part-time or full-time schedule and competitive hourly pay with tips.

Position Overview

Server / Cashier Team Member. . BX Eatery | South Bronx, NY. . BX Eatery is looking for a friendly, reliable, and guest-focused Server / Cashier Team Member to join our team. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming experience for guests, accurately taking orders, handling payments, supporting table service, and helping keep the dining room clean, organized, and ready for service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take guest orders accurately at the counter, table, or POS.
• Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, pricing, and specials.
• Enter orders correctly and communicate clearly with the kitchen, bar, and management team.
• Process cash, card, and digital payments accurately.
• Handle takeout, delivery, and dine-in orders as needed.
• Run food and drinks to guests when needed.
• Check on guests during their visit and respond to requests promptly.
• Keep the dining room, register area, menus, and service stations clean and organized.
• Restock napkins, utensils, bags, receipt paper, condiments, and other service supplies.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work checklists.
• Monitor guest concerns and communicate issues to management quickly.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and service standards.
• Support teammates during busy periods, including bussing tables, packing orders, or helping with drink running.
• Maintain a positive, respectful attitude with guests, coworkers, and management.

Schedule

AM and PM shifts available. Weekday, weekend, and holiday availability may be required. Part-time and full-time opportunities may be available.

Compensation

Hourly pay, plus tips where applicable. Compensation based on experience and position structure.

Pay: $22.26 - $26.80 per hour.
