Specific Responsibilities

• Inform guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any.
• Suggest food and beverages to the guest utilizing appropriate methods to upsell.
• Take food and beverage orders from the guest and accurately enter them into the POS system.
• Greet guests and present them with the menu when applicable.
• Process payment transactions.
• Clear and reset table settings and linens as needed.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed by the supervisor.
• Communicate with guests and provide assistance with questions.
• Coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
• Observe guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service.
• Respond promptly to guest requests.
• Maintain proper dining experience: deliver items, fulfill customer needs, offer desserts and drinks, remove courses, replenish utensils, refilling glasses.
• Prepare mixed drinks for service at the customer’s table when applicable (must be 18 or over and licensed).
• Understand and communicate products and services available at the resort.
• Assist with stocking and maintaining restaurant par stock levels and side station.
• Help other areas of the restaurant, such as answering telephones and seating guests.

Skills / Requirements

• Safe Serve Certified, as applicable.
• 2 years previous experience as a server, required.

Compensation

The hourly range for this position is $4.50 - $6.70 plus tips/gratuity. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
