Columbia Hospitality is hiring a full-time Server for Ben Paris at The State Hotel in Seattle. You will take orders, serve meals and beverages, and ensure impeccable presentation and timing.

You’ll use the POS system, handle payments, and stay knowledgeable about the menu and specials to upsell where appropriate. The role emphasizes guest experiences, adherence to liquor laws, and a strong team culture with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Previous server experience in a similar restaurant environment.
• Ability to operate the computerized Point of Sale system.
• Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
• Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
• State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s).

Responsibilities

• Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards.
• Enters orders into the computerized Point of Sale system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team.
• Assembles food items, such as appetizers, salads and soups.
• Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages; serves at the correct temperature.
• Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items.
• Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures.

• Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment
• Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system
• Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures
• Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
• Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)
