Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a friendly Server to deliver top-notch dining experiences at Hotel Interurban. You will take guest orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure accuracy in the POS system while accommodating special requests with a smile.

You will uphold knowledge of menu items, adhere to liquor regulations, and maintain clean, inviting dining areas. This role offers daily pay options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment.
• Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system.
• Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
• Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
• Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)

Responsibilities

• Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards.
• Enters orders into computerized POS system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team.
• Assembles food items, such as appetizers, salads and soups.
• Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages and correct serving temperatures.
• Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings and menu changes.

• Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures
• Keeps work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized
