Job summary

Frenchman''s Creek is seeking a Food Server to provide meals to members and guests in the dining outlet, ensuring high-quality service and guest satisfaction.

You will greet guests, take and enter orders, maintain service flow, and assist with setup and breakdown to support daily dining operations. Strong English communication and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of 6 months prior experience in a club or dining establishment.
• Must be knowledgeable in Word and Excel; ability to pick up and learn other computer programs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
• Greets members by name and learns names from reservations to address guests by name.
• Learns daily specials and presents them to members and guests.
• Attends daily lineups at scheduled time.
• Enters guest orders on iPad or POS system.
• Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving.
• Serves members from chafing dishes to tables.
• Carves meats, fish and fowl and prepares flaming dishes.
• Observes guests and responds to additional requests; determines when meal is complete.
• Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions desserts and brews coffee.
• Follows up with guests during dining experience.
• Clears and resets counters or tables after each course.
• Sets up and breaks down restaurant for daily functions and events.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Food Server

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Food & Beverage Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY: Serves meals to members and guests in dining outlet.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following and other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
• Greets members by name, greets members' guests and family by learning names from reservation sheet, asking management, or other staff members.
• Learns daily food, drink, wine and/or beverage specials to present to members and/or their guests.
• Attends daily line ups at scheduled time.
• Learns members' food and/or drink preferences and records them for other team members.
• Enters guest's food orders and drink orders on I-Pad, writes or enters through POS system.
• Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving.
• Serves members from chafing dish to table.
• Carves meats, fish and fowl, and prepares flaming dishes and desserts at member's stable.
• Observes members and guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
• Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined by food and beverage outlet size and practices.
• Follows up with members/guests during their dining experience.
• Clears and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course.
• Responsible to set up and breakdown of restaurants based on daily functions - moving tables, chairs, decorations, or any other item that may be required to enhance or change the dining or event experience.
• Provides guest greeting support by serving as a greeter when the assigned greeter is not present on the floor.
• Adheres to Frenchman's Creek personal appearance standards.
• Adheres to Frenchman's Creek safetystandards.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Good spoken and written English skills. Must be able to write grammatically correctly.

MATHEMATICALSKILLS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
