Job summary

New Holland Brewing Company in Battle Creek, MI is seeking an experienced server to provide friendly, high-quality service in our brew pub. You will lead guests through the seven steps of service, welcome guests, and make informed beer and menu recommendations while maintaining a clean station.

Applicants should have 2+ years of high-volume serving experience with alcohol, be available on weekends, and able to work days and nights.

Qualifications

• Cicerone and ServeSafe certified, or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.

Join the team at our beautiful Battle Creek brew pub!We are looking for 2+ years high volume serving experience with alcohol. Weekend availability is a must.

Job summary

Provide friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests by ensuring customer satisfaction while demonstrating creativity to produce remarkable results and repeat business.

What you would do

• Lead and act in a manner that is consistent with our Mission, Vision & Values.
• Warmly welcome the guests in your section in a timely fashion and engage guests in conversation.
• Follow the seven steps of service.
• Check customer identification for age verification in accordance with legal standards.
• Know our beer, wine and spirits and be able to accurately describe each item in terms of taste, style and category.
• Make drink & food recommendations and answer any questions about items on both menus.
• Maintain cleanliness at server station.
• Perform opening, running and closing side work.
• Respond promptly and accurately to guest needs and requests.
• Ability to perform host duties, as necessary.
• Know all of the company’s upcoming events and promotions.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Desired qualifications

• Have at least 2 years serving experience or experience as a New Holland host.
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register.
• Cicerone, and ServeSafe certified, or the ability complete certification within 90 days of employment.
