Job summary

Gold Key PHR in Virginia Beach is seeking a restaurant support team member to maintain a clean, organized dining area and assist servers during peak hours.

You will reset tables quickly, help with opening/closing sidework, and ensure safety and cleanliness. The role requires basic reading/writing, good communication, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Basic reading and writing skills necessary to perform daily functions.
• Basic communication skills to provide guest service interaction.
• Basic computer skills to utilize the POSI system for clocking-in and out.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Must work well with others and be able to work without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of restaurant throughout shift and especially during peak hours.

• Complete all assigned opening, running, & closing sidework.
• Ensure proper placement of tables sets, silverware, & tables.
• Inspect all table sets, table tops, floors & chairs to ensure fulfillment of company standards of cleanliness.
• Maintain communication between hostess stand, & servers to maintain accuracy of wait times.
• Reset tables in a quick & efficient manner to reduce turn-around time of tables.
• Maintain cleanliness of chemical closet, brooms, dustpans, & mops.
• Assist servers as needed.
• Help keep the restaurant a safe working environment for guests as well as associates.
• Successfully complete other duties as assigned.
