Job Description for Server Assistant/Food Runner at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley

The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is located in the renowned Deer Valley ski resort, approximately 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. The hotel is part of a new development featuring 17 ski lifts, around 1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with approximately 1,350 rooms, about 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest "ski beaches" globally.

The hotel offers 436 luxurious accommodations, including 359 guest rooms, 55 residences, and 22 suites, along with approximately 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor meeting space. Amenities include a lobby-level three-meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool and après-ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool, three whirlpools, kids club, and fitness area.

Position Overview

The Server Assistant/Food Runner primarily assists the Food Server/Bartender in serving guests. This role requires good communication skills and the ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weights. It is a fast-paced position with frequent customer interaction.
