Job summary

Flight Club in New York City is seeking a Server Assistant – Food Runner to deliver a high‑quality guest experience with enthusiasm, speed and accuracy. This role combines proper food delivery and cleanliness throughout the shift, with opportunities for both part‑time and full‑time schedules.

Must hold current food handlers and alcohol certification, have at least 2 years in a high‑volume setting, and be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Current food handlers and alcohol certification maintained through employment.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably within a high‑volume environment.
• Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Listen to the customer, build rapport, assist, and communicate requests.
• Foster a positive environment by training new runners and supporting teammates during high‑pressure situations.
• Maintain sanitation of the gaming/restaurant area.
• Utilize organizational skills to manage time and tasks, reducing waste and maximizing efficiency.
• Follow health and safety guidelines, reporting hazardous situations.
• Execute opening and closing procedures swiftly and efficiently.
• Multitask effectively during peak times to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and enthusiasm throughout each shift.

Server Assistant – Food Runner

Location: 19D38 – Flight Club New York City – New York, NY 10003.
Position Type: Part Time (also Full Time).
Salary Range: $11.35 – $17.00 hourly.

Position Purpose

Server assistants are responsible for assisting the team in delivering each guest a unique high‑quality experience with passion and knowledge in an energetic atmosphere. The position is a dual role responsible for proper food delivery and cleanliness throughout the shift.

Exams

Must pass exams with a 90% or better in each of the following categories:

• Food
• All issued training testing throughout employment

Requirements & Minimum Qualifications

• Current food handlers and alcohol certification maintained through employment.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably within a high‑volume environment.
• Available to work various shift times and days, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs if necessary.
• Authorized to legally work in the USA.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay of $11.35 plus tips.
• Eligibility to enroll in Medical, Dental, Vision and other insurance benefits for full‑time status.
