As a Restaurant Server Assistant you will support the waitstaff, keep dining areas clean and organized, greet guests, assist with food running, and help with closing duties to ensure a seamless service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Table Management: Clear and reset tables promptly, keep dining areas clean and stocked.

• Guest Interaction: Greet guests, answer menu questions, relay special requests to staff.
• Cleaning Duties: Sweep floors, wipe tables, clean menus, ensure welcoming front door area.
• Closing duties: stack chairs, prep for next day, assist management as needed.

We are opening a new restaurant in Greenport August 2026 - Fortune Favors - and are looking for experienced Server Assistants to join our team, with potential growth across our expanding hotel and restaurant portfolio.

ROLE

The Restaurant Server Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining a seamless dining experience by supporting the waitstaff and ensuring cleanliness and organization within the dining area. This position requires a proactive approach to service, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

LOCATION

Greenport, NY (Long Island North Fork)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Table Management:

• Clear tables of used dishes, utensils, and glassware promptly after guests leave.
• Reset tables with clean linens, silverware, and glassware for incoming guests.
• Ensure that all dining areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary items like napkins, condiments, and utensils.

Food Service Support:

• Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to guests efficiently.
• Refill water glasses and other beverages as needed throughout the meal.
• Help with food running during busy periods to ensure timely service.

Guest Interaction:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and thank them as they leave.
• Provide assistance with menu inquiries and relay any special requests or issues to the serving staff.
• Maintain a friendly demeanor to enhance the overall guest experience.

Cleaning Duties:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping floors, wiping down tables, and cleaning menus.
• Ensure that the front door area is clean and welcoming.
• Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding table status and guest needs.
• Assist in closing duties at the end of shifts, including stacking chairs and preparing for the next day.
• Additional duties as required by management or hotel GM

QUALIFICATIONS
