Job summary

Collared Martin Hospitality is seeking a Restaurant Server to provide attentive and efficient service in a fast-paced setting. You will work with staff to ensure prompt, seamless service and strong kitchen communication, with menu knowledge and attentiveness.

The role requires knowledge of menu items, excellent communication, and a focus on top-tier service. Training for ServSafe Alcohol and Allergy awareness is provided.

Qualifications

• Follow all responsible alcohol practices; card guests who appear under 40; never serve intoxicated guests.
• Lift up to 20 lbs and stand up to 8 hours per shift.
• Basic understanding of English (written and verbal).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Master of time management.
• Must have intimate knowledge of all food and beverage menu items, including allergies.
• ServSafe Alcohol and Food Allergen or equivalent; training provided.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
• Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
• Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time
• Welcome guests and promptly attend to tables
• Serve food and beverages to guests making recommendations if needed

• Alert management to any and all issues that arise at a table.

• Properly mark all tables for each course before delivery of food to the table.
• Clear each course promptly using clearing guidelines outlined in the sequence of service.
• Continuously review menu items, and keep up-to-date with all changes.
• Alert chef to all allergies.
