Job summary

Whaling Bar in La Jolla, CA is seeking a Server Assistant to support both front-of-house and back-of-house teams. You will prep the dining room, maintain tables, and deliver dishes from the kitchen to guests, while answering questions about the menu.

You will also deliver beverages efficiently and uphold the highest service standards in a fast-paced environment. The role requires strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities, with opportunities to learn from award-winning chefs

Server Assistant

The newly reimagined Whaling Bar is seeking a Server Assistant that works closely with the front-of-house and back-of-house team members. The Server Assistant is responsible for preparing the dining room for service, table maintenance and for delivering all dishes from the kitchen to the appropriate guest in the dining. They will know all of the dishes on the menu and be prepared to answer questions from guests. The Server Assistant is also responsible to prepare and deliver beverages to guests in an efficient and timely manner. They should have the ability to provide the highest standard of service, superior communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle a high-volume environment.
