1 Hotel Austin, L.L.C. is seeking a friendly Restaurant Server for Alteno Restaurant at our Austin property. You will support the service team and deliver guest-centric service in a fast-paced dining room.

Responsibilities include maintaining menu knowledge, observing guest satisfaction, and following safety and sanitation guidelines while providing attentive service and upholding brand standards.

• Prior serving experience is a must.
• Must be organized and able to multitask.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Proficient in verbal and written English.

The Restaurant Server is primarily responsible, but not limited to, fulfilling all guest’s service needs according to 1 Hotel standards.GENERAL DUTIES:Maintains a working knowledge of full food and drink menu while making recommendationsFollow high standards of food product, sanitation, storage, and handling proceduresObserve guests’ dining experience to confirm satisfaction, responding promptly to any requestsProvides guest check promptly and returns receipt promptlyKeeps all service and table areas clean, organized, and stockedWillingness to assists busser or fellow servers in clearing and resetting tables when neededProvide engaged, friendly and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact respectable conversation and smilingPractice highest regards for safety within all areas and with all materialsFollow and adhere to all standards set forth by federal and state guidelinesHave knowledge of state and federal liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholPerform other related activities as assigned by managementGuarantee neat and quality serviceParticipate in daily shift meetingsAdhere to strict uniform & grooming standardsFollow company cash handling and payment tendering procedures with careFollow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials.Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards with self and colleagues.Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.Embody the 1 Hotels Vision, Mission and Compass; deliver on Our Promise, provide Good-Natured Service and uphold our Brand Pillars.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:Prior serving experienceAre organized and proficient at multitaskingAre a reliable team player willing to learn and adapt to new situationsStrong communication and customer service skillsAble to lift at least 50 lbs.Proficient in verbal and written English communicationAble to stand for long periods of timeFood Handling certification (can be obtained during employment)Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotelThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
