Job summary

Wellington Senior Living in Liberty, MO is seeking a part-time Server to greet residents, seat guests, and ensure a warm dining experience in the community.

This position requires evening shifts 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday; you must be at least 16, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and pass a background check to join our team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English with residents.
• Must have a positive, energetic attitude toward residents.
• Must be physically active: standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• Ability to lift/move items up to 50 pounds.
• Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, including after a fall.
• Criminal background clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and create a welcoming dining environment.
• Assist with table prep, salads, and silverware as needed.
• Bus and clean dining areas to maintain a tidy dining space.
• Communicate dietary changes or concerns to supervisors.
• Report observed changes in appetite to the care team.

• Be an “Appetite Anthropologist:” Communicate with supervisors and Wellness

when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.

What are we looking for?

• You must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.


• You can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency with our Residents!


• You will have a positive and energetic attitude who will LOVE our Residents!


• You must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.


• You must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.


• You must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.


• You must be criminally cleared.
