Job summary

Oldfield Club in Okatie, SC is hiring a full-time Server to join our Food and Beverage team. You will provide attentive service in a beautiful waterfront and golf course environment, delivering menus, daily features, and beverages to members and guests with a focus on hospitality and teamwork.

Must meet state requirements for serving alcohol and have a high school diploma or GED. Prior POS experience preferred; training and advancement opportunities are available in a collaborative club setting.

Oldfield Club, located in Okatie, SC, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Pay:

$15.00 per hour plus tips

Summary:

Schedule:

Most shifts end by 9-10 PM. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Server, you will provide attentive, professional service while creating a welcoming dining experience for our members and guests. Responsibilities include:

Warmly greets members and guests immediately upon seating.

Presents daily features and chef specials with confidence and enthusiasm.

Guides guests through the menu by answering questions and offering recommendations.

Accurately takes food and beverage orders using the Point of Sale (POS) system.

Delivers food and beverages promptly while following established service standards.

Anticipates guest needs by checking back regularly, refilling beverages, and ensuring complete satisfaction.

Practices proper tray service for all food and beverage delivery.

Participates in pre-shift meetings, menu tastings, and ongoing training.

Maintains a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation throughout each shift.

Completes assigned opening, closing, and side work responsibilities.

Assists with the setup and breakdown of golf course food and beverage stations.

Accurately processes guest checks, cash, and credit card transactions.

Cross-trains in bartending and supports the beverage team as needed.

Follows all health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.

Safely operates golf carts and range equipment when assigned.

Performs additional duties as assigned to support the food and beverage team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must meet state requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.

Knowledge/Skill:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Experience using a POS system is a plus.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous restaurant, country club, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.

Certificates/Licenses:

• Food Safety and Sanitation Certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Alcohol Awareness and Responsible Beverage Service Certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Valid driver's license required; this position may include operating golf carts and range equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays weighing up to 30 lbs.
