Job summary

San Luis Obispo Golf and Country Club, Inc. is seeking experienced servers to join our Food & Beverage team in California.

You will promptly assist members and guests, present wine and food menus, and ensure accurate checks and smooth service at a fine-dining standard. Role requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for long periods, and operate the POS system; CA Food Handler’s card and RBS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous server experience; fine dining experience preferred.
• CA Food Handler’s card and RBS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Experience operating a POS system and handling telephone duties.

Responsibilities

• Provides attention to members and guests upon seating.
• Distributes menus and answers questions about food and wine.
• Keeps glasses filled, removes completed plates, and replenishes utensils.
• Places orders with kitchen and relays special instructions.
• Maintains high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
