Job summary

Zuma - San Diego is seeking a dedicated Server to deliver warm, attentive service in a premier Japanese dining setting. You’ll take orders accurately, communicate dietary needs, and collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery while upholding high standards of hospitality.

The ideal candidate has restaurant experience, thrives in a team, and can work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Compensation is $19.00 per hour plus tips.

Qualifications

• Must have restaurant experience.
• Previous experience as a Server in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or hospitality establishment preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, take orders accurately and communicate dietary restrictions to the kitchen.
• Serve food and drinks promptly and courteously, presenting dishes attractively.
• Anticipate guests' needs, make recommendations, and assist with menu selections.
• Monitor tableware and replace items as necessary to ensure cleanliness.
• Engage with guests professionally and address questions about the menu and preparations.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery and smooth FOH-Kitchen communication.

Main Duties

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen
• Serve food and drinks promptly and courteously, presenting dishes in an appealing and visually pleasing manner
• Anticipate guests' needs and preferences, making recommendations and offering assistance with menu selections as needed
• Monitor tableware, glassware, and utensils to ensure cleanliness and replace items as necessary
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions about the menu, providing information about ingredients and preparation methods, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages and maintain smooth communication between FOH and Kitchen teams
