Job summary

SSP America in Detroit operates multiple restaurants at Detroit Metro Wayne County Airport. We are seeking a friendly Server to help guests with menus, take orders, and deliver service with a smile.

You will input orders into the POS, balance checks, and clear tables between courses while anticipating guests' needs for a smooth dining experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server or in food service.
• Ability to input orders accurately into a POS.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to balance and reconcile payments.
• Availability to work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions and offer suggestions regarding food, beverages, and services of the facility
• Accurately input orders into the POS system
• Prepare dishes for service, to include ladling soup, tossing salads, cutting portions of pie and desserts, and brewing coffee
• Observe guests to anticipate their needs and respond to any additional requests
• Clear all dishes away from table
• Balance and reconcile all assigned open and closed checks by totaling bills and accepting payments
• Clear and reset all counters or tables at the conclusion of each course
