Springdale Golf Club, part of Troon, in Princeton, NJ, is seeking a part-time Server for a seasonal role lasting up to 6 months. Earn $15.92–$17.00 per hour, with health, retirement, and paid time-off benefits available.

The position requires a driver’s license for range ball operations and golf cart use. Responsibilities include guest seating, describing specials, taking orders, serving, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required, or 1–3 months of related experience.
• Certificates in Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness preferred/required as stated.
• Age eligibility to handle alcoholic beverages may apply.

Responsabilidades

• Greet guests promptly upon seating.
• Describe daily specials and menu items; answer questions and suggest items.
• Take food and beverage orders and serve them promptly after preparation.
• Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenish items as needed.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and participate in taste tests.
• Maintain an organized workstation and complete side work.
• Set up and break down golf stations each shift.
• Handle checks and cash; use Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Follow established order-taking, placing, and delivering procedures.
• Adhere to standards for greeting, cocktail service, and general service techniques.
• Perform tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Cross-training in bartending service is required.
• Observe safe work practices and maintain regular attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Compensation:

$15.92 - $17.00 per hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating
• Describes specials of the day to guests; answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food to guests promptly after preparation
• Follows up with guests to ensure satisfaction; replenishes items as needed
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests
• Maintains an organized workstation and side work duties
• Sets up and breaks down golf stations every shift
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions; utilizes Point of Sale System
• Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders
• Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques
• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service
• Cross-training in bartending service required
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Valid driver's license required (required when operating the picker for range balls and golf cart)
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
• Performs other duties as required

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses:

Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; equipment manuals may be in English)

Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Knowledge of POS system
