Job summary

Smokin J's BBQ in Poway, CA is seeking friendly, energetic servers to join our front-of-house team in a fast-paced, quick-service environment. You will take orders, handle the Toast POS, run food, buss tables, and help ensure guest satisfaction on busy shifts.

Compensation is $22.90-$29.90/hour ($16.90 base plus $6-$13 in tips). Benefits include health insurance (we pay half), paid sick leave, discounted food and beverage, and a "Full Shift Promise" to avoid shortening shifts.

Job description

Smokin J's BBQ is seeking friendly, energetic, and customer focused servers to join our FOH team at our Poway location. We are looking for people who are capable of adding an elevated level of service to our high-paced, quick-service restaurant.

Pay is $22.90-29.90/hour ($16.90/hour base pay plus $6-13/hour in tips)

Responsibilities:

• Opening and/or closing procedures
• Taking orders, handling the POS system (Toast) and cash drawer
• Getting beverages (soda, beer, wine) for guests
• Running food and bussing tables
• Checking in on guests on patio and upselling additional items
• Ensuring the patio and bar always stays clean and organized
• Making to-go cups for sauces, ketchup, and other condiments
• Answering general customer questions
• Taking phone orders
