Job summary

Willamette View is hiring a Food Server to deliver outstanding dining experiences to residents and guests. You will attend shift meetings, memorize menu items and ingredients, and describe them to residents. You will also use suggestive selling while maintaining safety standards.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, adherence to food safety policies, and collaboration with team members to create a positive living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• Must have a Food Handler Certification prior to starting.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

What is the Food Server experience?

As a Server, it is your responsibility to deliver outstanding customer service to our residents and guests in all dining outlets with the primary goal is to ensure that residents and their guests enjoy an enthusiastic, prompt, and positive dining experience characterized by excellent service. Additionally, in this role, you will be expected to:

• Attend daily shift meetings.
• Develop the ability to memorize menu items, including describing at least three main ingredients and the method of preparation for each item.
• Effectively communicate this information to residents and guests and employ suggestive selling techniques when appropriate .
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, demonstrating safe work practices, and promptly identify and report any unsafe or hazardous work conditions.
