Job summary

Gramercy Tavern in New York is seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our service team. You will help deliver warm hospitality, explain menu items, and ensure guests have memorable experiences in a busy, lively dining room.

You should have 1+ year in a guest-facing restaurant, be able to stand for long shifts, and lift up to 30 lbs. We offer competitive pay, tips, health coverage, time off, and a 401(k) plan as part of our generous benefits.

One of America’s most beloved restaurants, Gramercy Tavern has welcomed guests to enjoy its contemporary American cuisine, warm hospitality, and unparalleled service since 1994. Chef Michael Anthony’s fiercely seasonal menu consists of elegant dishes with a rustic influence that showcases the restaurant’s relationships with local farms and purveyors. The restaurant can be enjoyed through two distinct dining experiences: the Tavern and the Dining Room. The Tavern serves an à la carte menu in a casual, walk-in setting. The Dining Room offers fixed-price and tasting menus.

Who you are:

Servers are responsible for ensuring that all guestswho dine with us have memorable experiences filled with hospitality, delicious food and drinks, and exceptional service. The Server is the backbone of our Service team and is ultimately responsible for the sale and service of our food and beverages, while acting as a leader on the floor and providing our guests with warm and attentive hospitality.
