Job summary

Friendly's is hiring a server in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. You will provide guests with delicious food and premium ice cream, deliver warm hospitality, and help guests feel special at every visit. You’ll learn menu items, greet guests, and assist with order accuracy and smooth service in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in food service, strong people skills, and fluency in English are required. The role includes maintaining clean dining areas and supporting team operations throughout

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with amazing food and premium ice cream.

• Greet guests and make recommendations; relay orders to kitchen via POS.
• Ensure orders are accurate and complete, coordinating online orders as needed.
• Maintain clean dining areas and assist with closing procedures.

The Server is Responsible and Accountable for:

• Provide guests with amazing food and premium ice cream.
• Bring the magic of our homemade ice cream to every guest through the creation of artistic quality, perfectly portioned ice cream treats.
• Deliver best in class hospitality and service.
• Learn our menu items and ice cream flavors to provide guest with first hand knowledge of product details.
• Offer a sincere, personal welcome to every guest entering the restaurant.
• Greet guests, answer questions, makes suggestions regarding food, ice cream and service.
• Relays orders to service bar and kitchen through the (POS) point-of-sale computerized register system.
• Anticipate the guest’s needs and react before they need to ask.
• Presents guests check to the table and accepts a payment. Completes the proper check out procedure.
• Participates in the cleaning and resetting of dining room tables.
• Ability to wipe down table tops, pick up debris off the floor and wipe down booth seats.
• Make products as fast as possible with precision and fantastic eye appearance- each one a work of art!
• Expedite orders from the window to the dining room.
• Coordinate all online orders to insure they are complete and modifiers are correctly done.
• Make each guest feel important and special, especially kids!
• Look for ways to go above and beyond for your guests and coworkers.
• Be the final quality control checkpoint- be proud of everything.
• Have impeccably neat uniforms, tables and welcome areas that are always set and ready to go.
• Offer a sincere, personal welcome to every guest entering the restaurant.
• Smile and make eye contact.
• Other Duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience: minimum of one (1) year of food service experience.Must have a proven track record of achieving results and building successful teams.
• Education: High school graduate or equivalent
• Must be capable of performing all functions and meeting all qualifications standards for all hourly positions.
• Must have excellent people skills.
• Mobility and the ability to walk and stand during an entire shift or extended period of time.
• Must know safety information regarding all materials used within the scope of work.
• Basic math and verbal communication skills required.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must be able to hear well amongst loud background noise.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.Must meet the company performance standards for the job.
