Job summary

Grand Dunes Members Club in Myrtle Beach, SC, part of Troon, is seeking a part-time Server to join a fast-paced hospitality team. The role offers $7.25 per hour with benefits eligibility and opportunities to learn and grow within a leading golf and community management organization.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and two years of serving experience, with reliable attendance and the ability to handle alcohol per state law. Country club experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
• Describes specials of the day to guests and offers menu recommendations.
• Takes and delivers food and beverage orders to guests.
• Follows up with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenish items as needed.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Maintains an organized workstation and completes side work duties.
• Handles checks and cash transactions at the POS system.
• Follows established order-taking, placing, and delivery standards.
• Assists with greeting, cocktail service, and general service techniques.
• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Adheres to safe work practices and performs other duties as required.

Compensation:
$7.25 per hour

Key Responsibilities of the Server:

• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating
• Describes specials of the day to guests, answers questions regarding any menu item, and offers suggestions when appropriate
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food promptly after preparation
• Follows up with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenishes items as needed
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests
• Maintains an organized workstation and completes side work duties
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions; utilizes the Point of Sale system
• Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders
• Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques
• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications for the Server:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years of serving experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to meet state age requirements for handling alcohol for this position
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Country Club experience preferred
