Job summary

InterContinental Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport is seeking a server to deliver attentive food and beverage service in a fast-paced airport setting. You will know the menu, promote specials, and promptly input orders into the POS system to ensure accurate delivery.

The role requires at least 1 year of progressive service experience, a tips certification or willingness to obtain it, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Airport badge is not required; a $250 welcome bonus is offered.

• Maintain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
• Serve alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages per regulations.
• Keep serving station well-stocked at all times.
• Perform side work and any duties designated by supervisor.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with work schedule.
• Adhere to dress code and personal appearance standards.
• Perform any other duties as requested by supervisor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials, including ingredients and preparation.


• Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner. .


• Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system.


• Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner.


• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.


• Serve alcohol/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations.


• Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times.


• Perform side work and any other duties as designated by supervisor.


• Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time, and observes prescribed work, break and meal periods in compliance with standards.


• Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code.


• Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.

Education & Experience:

• At least 1 year of progressive food & beverage service experience


• Tips certified or willing to take the course


• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
