Job summary

The Bungalow Long Beach is hiring a part-time Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. You will take drink and food orders, upsell offerings, and ensure guests enjoy a memorable visit.

Candidates must be 21+, possess LEAD, Food Handler, TIPS and RBS certifications, be fluent in English, and comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and professional grooming are essential; prior nightlife experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ minimum experience as a server in a fast paced restaurant setting.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Current certifications required: LEAD, Food Handler, TIPS and RBS.
• Must have knowledge of POS systems.
• Excellent English communication required.

Responsibilities

• Sell effectively and attend to guests in both reserved and non-reserved sections.
• Describe menu items and beverage options clearly.
• Provide responsible service of alcohol and do not over-serve.
• Process guest payments accurately and promptly.
• Follow all cash handling policies and procedures including pre-authorization.
• Complete opening and closing side work and maintain attentiveness.

Location:6400 Pacific Coast Highway, Suite 200, Long Beach, CA
Job Type:Part-Time
Schedule:Evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Hours of Operation:

• Wednesday–Friday: 5 PM – 2 AM
• Saturday: 2 PM – 2 AM
• Sunday: 2 PM – 10 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and personable individuals to join our team as a Server. The Bungalow Server will handle all guests ordering drinks and tend to guests. The Bungalow Server will ensure our guests consistently enjoy a delightful experience.

Responsibilities

• The server job is very much a sales position. As such servers are expected to not only cater to guests that made reservations but must also take drink orders from guests hanging out in the assigned section or seating at tables not reserved.
• Be prepared to answer any questions in regard to both our food and beverage selection. You must be able to describe each offering.
• Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages. Do not over serve guests.
• Process guest payment accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow all cash handling policies and procedures including pre authorization.
• Provide attentive service at all times.
• Complete all opening and closing side work.
• Current certification for LEAD, Food Handler, TIPS and RBS required.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ minimum previous experience as a server in a fast paced restaurant setting. Some experience in a nightlife environment a plus
• Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal in the English language
• Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes am, pm, weekends and holidays
• Must have the upmost professional standards
• Must have a working knowledge of POS systems
• Must have a solid knowledge of spirits (liquors, beer and wine)
• Must have impeccable cash handling skills
• Maintain proper grooming standards, appearance and friendly demeanor
• Ability to handle multiple guest requests and work in a high paced environment
• Must be 21 years or older
