Elderwood Village at Colonie in Latham, NY is seeking a Server to provide restaurant-quality service to residents with warmth and professionalism. You will build relationships, brighten days, and contribute to residents' quality of life while assisting with dining room and kitchen duties in a clean, welcoming setting.

Position Overview

As a Server, you'll help create an enjoyable dining experience by providing restaurant-quality service to our residents with warmth, professionalism, and compassion. More than simply serving meals, you'll build relationships with residents, brighten their day through friendly conversation, and play an important role in enhancing their quality of life.

You’ll also assist with various dining room and kitchen responsibilities while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years of age
• Employment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individuals
• Prior customer service experience
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
• Physical stamina necessary for constant activity
• HS diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior food service, hospitality, serving, or restaurant experience desired
• Individuals under 18 years of age must be excluded from the usage of dangerous equipment such as: slicers, knives, compactors, garbage disposals and any cooking equipment.
• This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and in order to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
