Job summary

Elderwood Village at Colonie is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support our dining team in a 94-bed assisted living community in Colonie, NY. You will keep dishes, utensils, and kitchen areas clean and sanitized, contributing to a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age (Employment Certificate/Permit required if applicable).
• Prior customer service or food service experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Physical stamina necessary for constant activity.

Responsibilities

• Wash, air dry, and properly store all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dish machine, sinks, counters, and floors.
• Remove trash and ensure proper disposal in designated receptacles.
• Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries.
• Support the dining room team by helping clear tables as needed.
• Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules to meet health and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with Elderwood policies, procedures, and safety practices.
• Arrive to work on time and contribute to a collaborative, team-focused environment.
