Job summary

Lake Ariel IHOP is seeking a friendly and efficient Server to greet guests, seat them, take and deliver orders, and provide attentive service in a fast-paced dining room.

You will also handle payments, assist with cleaning duties, and work with teammates to ensure a smooth dining experience in compliance with IHOP guidelines.

Job description

Ther Server will provide prompt, efficient, courteous service to all guests. Service includes greeting, seating, taking and serving orders, clearing dishes, and resetting tables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional functional working relations with IHOP Team Members and guests.
• Execute the “Server Guidelines to Great Customer Service” per IHOP SOP to ensure a high quality guest experience.
• Communicate guest food orders and service requests in an accurate and timely manner.
• Handle guest complaints in a timely manner, inquire about dining experience, thank guests and invite them to return.
• Memorize and apply IHOP terminology, abbreviations, methodologies and plating and menu knowledge.
• Comply with SOP methods in regard to guest checks and maintaining cash control.
• Stock and rotate all needed supplies in the service areas and dining room.
• Comply with all federal, state and local regulations as well as IHOP Safety Manual and SOP.
• Maintain a waiting list as necessary.
• Perform all cleaning duties according to posted cleaning charts.
• Clear, clean and reset tables and clean chairs, booths and floors after guests leave.
• Comply with IHOP and Onvo uniform and appearance standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Cleanliness

• Maintains a high standard of cleanliness.
• Perform cleaning duties according to posted cleaning charts.

• Performs all duties in a safe and responsible manner to assure workers, guests, suppliers/contractors and the environment are not at risk.
• Complies with all company safety policies, procedures and instructions.
