The Big Biscuit is seeking friendly servers for daytime shifts in Kansas City. The role focuses on greeting guests, taking orders, delivering meals, and maintaining a clean dining area while delivering high-quality service.

You will work in a fast-paced, breakfast-lunch environment with opportunities to earn tips and growth. Expect a positive team culture and reliable, guest‑centered performance.

Qualifications

• Prior serving experience preferred, especially in a high-volume environment (not required).
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and friendly during busy service periods.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to learn and use POS systems.

Responsabilités

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly, attentive service.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter into POS.
• Deliver food quickly and ensure quality and presentation.
• Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu and daily specials.
• Handle payments accurately and follow cash-handling procedures.
• Keep dining area clean and stocked.
• Assist teammates by running food and resetting tables.
• Communicate clearly with hosts and cooks to support smooth service.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Provide a positive, guest-first experience from start to finish.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Greeting guests promptly and providing friendly, attentive service


• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them correctly into the POS system


• Deliver food quickly and ensure all items meet Big Biscuit quality and presentation standards


• Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any needs


• Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and modifications


• Handle payments accurately and follow all cash‑handling procedures


• Keep tables, service stations, and the dining room clean, stocked, and organized


• Assist teammates by running food, refilling drinks, and helping reset tables


• Communicate clearly with hosts, bussers, cooks, and managers to support smooth service flow


• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards


• Provide a positive, guest‑first experience from start to finish

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• Prior serving experience preferred, especially in a high‑volume environment (not required)


• Strong communication and multitasking skills

Physical & Lifting Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift (typically 4–8 hours)


• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds (trays, plates, beverage pitchers)


• Frequent bending, reaching, and moving through a crowded dining room


• Ability to safely carry multiple plates and navigate tight spaces

Work Environment

• High‑volume breakfast and lunch service


• Frequent interaction with guests, families, and children


• Requires strong teamwork, communication, and a guest‑focused mindset

Pay Rate: $7.50 per hour PLUS tips
