Job summary

M&K Pizza – Pizza Inn in Hobbs, NM is seeking an entry-level restaurant team member. You will greet guests, take orders, assist with dining area upkeep, and support kitchen and service staff to ensure a smooth guest experience.

The role involves standing for long periods, handling some lifting, and working in a typical restaurant environment. Reports to the manager; non-exempt under FLSA.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position.
• One-year restaurant experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu, informs guests of specials and menu changes, suggests, and answers questions.
• Takes food orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff.
• Prepares and delivers beverage orders.
• Assists in stocking workstation, bussing tables and resetting tables.
• Processes guest orders to ensure timely preparation.
• Communicates with staff to ensure guest satisfaction with food and service.
• Answers the phone and takes orders when necessary.
• Maintains neat and orderly dining area.
• Fills salad bar crocks when needed.
• Represents proper uniform.
• Keeps bathrooms clean.
• Supports other areas of the restaurant as needed.
• Completes opening/closing checklists.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu. Informs guests of specials and menu changes, suggestively sells, and answers questions regarding food, beverages and service.
• Takes food orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff.
• Prepares and delivers beverage orders.
• Assists in stocking workstation, bussing tables and resetting tables.
• Processes guest’s orders to ensure all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis.
• Communicates with other employees to ensure guest satisfaction with the food and service.
• Answers the phone and takes orders when necessary.
• Maintains neat and orderly dining area.
• Fills salad bar crocks when needed.
• Responsible for being in proper uniform.
• Assists with keeping bathrooms clean.
• Helps out in other areas of the restaurant when needed.
• Responsible for completing opening and/or closing checklists.
• Other duties as assigned by Company Management.

Requirements

• Entry-level position.

Physical Demands
