Qualifications

• 2+ years of server experience in an upscale or fine-dining high volume establishment.
• Pass quizzes on product knowledge.
• Positive attitude and sense of responsibility.
• Desire to learn and grow within the position.
• Knowledge and passion for wine, beer, and craft cocktails.
• Understanding of classic food, wine service, pairings, and service ware.
• Detail oriented with strong communication skills.
• Team oriented with a strong sense of punctuality and reliability.

• Develop and retain knowledge of all food, beverage, and dietary restrictions to answer guest questions
• Ensure all steps of service are followed
• Execute opening and closing procedures associated with assigned station
• Work seamlessly and communicate with all team members
• Assistant to assure guests have a valuable overall experience
• Handle disputes and/or complaints with the utmost respect, professionalism and hospitality and go above and beyond to always accommodate special request
• Attend Food, Wine and Team training opportunities

Job description

A Server at Vandelay Hospitality Group is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests. The Server is expected to perform in a hospitable, efficient manner and play an integral role in ensuring our guests have an outstanding dining experience. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive and anticipatory to guests needs.
