Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is hiring a friendly Server to join the Windrose on Hudson dining team. You will greet guests, take orders, and deliver meals with a focus on accuracy and hospitality in a busy resort setting.

Ideal candidates have high school education, POS experience, and strong communication. You will work with fellow staff to ensure exceptional guest experiences and maintain sanitation standards throughout service, including weekends and holidays.

Servers are the face of our dining room and responsible for our customers’ experiences. Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive. This individual will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room and take all food orders, when applicable, in an efficient manner, following the established steps of service.Demonstrate a complete understanding of all menu items and ingredients. As requested, advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks, accommodate reasonable requests, and note preferences. As needed, demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens.Communicate directly with back of the house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly, and all special requests are addressed and accommodated.Exhibit exceptional communications skills, ability to get along well with others, demonstrate flexibility and patience along with and interest in people and a willingness to verbally communicate with guests and staff.Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding any personal or medical information that is shared.Deliver food promptly and professionally following the established steps of service and maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.Scrape food off plates.Promptly address and correct any complaints or issues. Relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.Ensure that the dining room/area is properly set-up prior to and after service period. Keep clean and neat while meeting all established sanitation standards.May be asked to operate equipment, including but not limited to fire extinguisher, telephone, iced tea/soda machine, soup well, coffee machine.Work alongside staff of other departments in performing job duties and for any special events or functions.Perform other duties and functions as assigned.Must be available to work weekends and Holidays as needed.What are we looking for?High school education preferred; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Point of sales experience preferredAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
