Job summary

Morningside Elite Management seeks a friendly Server to support dining services across our Pennsylvania communities. You will help with meal service and create a warm, welcoming mealtime atmosphere for residents.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen setting; teamwork and attention to detail are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Dining Service & Resident Experience: Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance, on a timely basis; Set up meal trays, food carts, and the dining room as instructed; Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas; Distribute and collect menus, assist the cook in preparing meals, and deliver snacks as instructed.
• Cleaning & Sanitation: Assist with daily cleaning duties; Sweep and mop floors; Keep work areas clean, dry, and free of hazards; Carry soiled utensils to the wash area and return clean utensils to storage.
• Team & Community Standards: Bring a positive, professional attitude to interactions with residents and staff; Maintain a safe working environment; Adhere to company standards, policies, and procedures.

Position Summary

At Morningside, our Servers help turn every meal into a moment of care and connection. As a Server, you'll assist with all aspects of dining service, from serving appetizing meals to keeping the dining room and kitchen running smoothly, helping create a warm, welcoming mealtime experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

1. Dining Service & Resident Experience

• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance, on a timely basis.
• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures, including checking diet trays before distribution.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, and the dining room as instructed, and deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Distribute and collect menus, assist the cook in preparing meals, and prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.

2. Cleaning & Sanitation

• Assist with daily and scheduled cleaning duties, including work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed, and keep work areas clean, dry, and free of hazards.
• Carry soiled utensils to the wash area, wash and clean utensils, and return clean utensils to proper storage, ensuring everything is ready for the next meal.
• Remove food trays from carts and the dining room, carry out garbage, and obtain food supplies for the next meal.

3. Team & Community Standards

• Bring a positive, professional attitude to interactions with residents, visitors, and fellow team members.
• Help maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents and the preservation of equipment.
• Perform all duties in adherence to Morningside Elite Management standards, policies, and procedures.
