Job summary

Morningside Elite Management is seeking a Server to support dining services for our senior living communities in Pennsylvania. This role focuses on turning meals into moments of care for residents, from serving meals to ensuring a clean, safe dining environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work with cooks and other servers to maintain a warm mealtime experience for residents and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced dining and kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail with portion control and diet tray accuracy.
• Reliable and thorough with cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Ability to work well as part of a team, supporting cooks and fellow servers.

Responsibilities

• Dining Service & Resident Experience: Serve meals that are appetizing and timely.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, and the dining room as instructed; deliver meals.
• Distribute and collect menus; assist cook in meal prep and deliver snacks as instructed.
• Assist with daily cleaning duties; keep work areas clean and sanitized.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to policies and procedures.

Position Summary

At Morningside, our Servers help turn every meal into a moment of care and connection. As a Server, you'll assist with all aspects of dining service, from serving appetizing meals to keeping the dining room and kitchen running smoothly, helping create a warm, welcoming mealtime experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Dining Service & Resident Experience
• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance, on a timely basis.
• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures, including checking diet trays before distribution.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, and the dining room as instructed, and deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Distribute and collect menus, assist the cook in preparing meals, and prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
• Cleaning & Sanitation
• Assist with daily and scheduled cleaning duties, including work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed, and keep work areas clean, dry, and free of hazards.
• Carry soiled utensils to the wash area, wash and clean utensils, and return clean utensils to proper storage, ensuring everything is ready for the next meal.
• Remove food trays from carts and the dining room, carry out garbage, and obtain food supplies for the next meal.

• Bring a positive, professional attitude to interactions with residents, visitors, and fellow team members.
• Help maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents and the preservation of equipment.
• Perform all duties in adherence to Morningside Elite Management standards, policies, and procedures.

Education & Experience
