Job summary

Freedom Village Brandywine is seeking friendly dining room servers to join our team in a senior living community. Day shifts and early evenings are available, with a starting wage of $14/hour.

You will provide fine dining service, uphold cleanliness and food standards, and help maintain a warm, welcoming dining atmosphere. We value teamwork and a positive attitude, and prior food service or senior care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum completion of sophomore year in high school required.
• Experience in food service work preferred.
• Experience in working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Always exemplify Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
• Adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards.
• Exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards.
• Exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order; take orders and provide service.
• Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service; assist with dish washing and reset tables.
• Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and create an inviting atmosphere.
• Knowledge of diets provided and served per Policy and Procedure.
• Represent community in a warm and inviting manner, creating a positive marketing environment.

We are searching for Full and Part time servers to join the Freedom Village family to work day shifts and evening shifts.

We offer tuition reimbursement through our resident council; in 2024-2025, our residents raised over $134,000 that was distributed to rising college freshman and business professionals looking to further their education at Freedom Village at Brandywine.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dining Room Server:

• Always exemplify Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
• Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards always.
• Exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards always.
• Exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order. Take order, provide service and requested items both graciously and courteously. Answer pertinent questions about menu items.
• Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service, assist with dish washing, and reset tables.
• Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere.
• Knowledge of diets provided and served correctly per Policy and Procedure.
• Represent community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment
