Job summary

PeopleReady of Albany, NY is now hiring Servers in Albany, NY! You will take orders, memorize or enter orders, and engage with customers in a friendly manner while ensuring accurate billing and a smooth dining experience.

The role offers 2nd Shift (Evening) hours with pay at $17.50 per hour. Benefits include next-day pay and opportunities for both short-term and long-term positions, with a branch located at 1252 Central Avenue, Albany, NY.

As a PeopleReady associate you'll benefit from:

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17.50 - $17.50 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Server:

• Take food and drink orders from customers accurately
• Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner
• Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions
• Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
• Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes
• Help food preparation staff when necessary

Shift Timings: 2nd Shift (Evening)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks, and other staff
• Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised
• Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner
