Job summary

Clarendale Six Corners, a senior living community in Chicago, seeks a hospitality-focused Sever to join our culinary team. This part-time role provides full-scope, hands-on serving within the community, with schedules 6:00am-2:30pm, 7:00am-3:00pm, 4:30pm-8:30pm, or 11:30-8:30pm and starting pay at $18/hour.

Responsibilities include setting tables, taking orders, serving guests, and maintaining cleanliness and appearance. Previous food service and seniors experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum completion of sophomore year in high school.
• Experience in food service preferred.
• Experience in working with seniors preferred.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dining Room Server:

• Always exemplify Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
• Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards always.
• Exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards always.
• Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order. Take order, provide service and requested items both graciously and courteously. Answer pertinent questions about menu items.
• Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• Minimum completion of sophomore year in high school required
• Experience in food service work preferred
• Experience in working with seniors preferred
