Job summary

Clarendale Six Corners in Chicago is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support residents with personal care and daily activities. This hospitality‑driven role emphasizes dignity, safety and engaging interactions throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include bathing, grooming, meal assistance, documenting care, and communicating with families and the care team. A GED and prior CNA/PCA/HHA/RA experience in assisted living are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year experience as CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred.
• One year experience in assisted living/memory care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, vital signs per policy.
• Assist residents with mealtime; cut food and encourage to eat.
• Complete and document shift assignments; report if unable to complete.
• Communicate with residents, families, Department Heads and Director of Resident Services as needed.
• Provide activities as planned/directed.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies promptly.

Schedule: Full-time or part-time opportunity 6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm, or 10:00pm-6:00am

Salary: $20-$23/hour

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities:

• Assist all residents/clients with a high quality of personal care, including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, vital signs, height and weight checks per policy.
• Assist residents with mealtime. Cut food. Encourage to eat.
• Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to nursing supervisor.
• Communicate to residents, families, Department Heads and the Director of Resident Services when needed.
• Provide activities as planned and/or directed.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• One (1) year experience working as a CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred
• One (1) year experience working in assisted living/memory care preferred
