Job summary

Grand Living in Cedar Rapids is seeking a friendly Server to create memorable dining experiences for residents and guests. You will greet and serve in our dining room, assist with events, and help deliver The Sterling Touch to every interaction.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED (preferred), hospitality or serving experience, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exemplary service standards.

What You'll Do

As a Server, you'll help create exceptional dining experiences throughout our community. Whether serving residents in our elegant dining room, welcoming guests to the Bistro, supporting special events, or delivering personalized service in Luminations® (memory care), you'll bring The Sterling Touch® to every interaction.

What You Bring

Preferred Qualifications Include

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Previous serving or hospitality experience

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional service standards
• A positive attitude and genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others
• Ability to read, write, and understand English in order to communicate effectively with residents, guests, supervisors, and team members
• Sufficient manual dexterity of hands and arms in order to use all kitchen equipment and utensils (e.g. knives, spoons spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.)
• This role requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, and remaining active throughout the shift.
