Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 0-6 months laboratory experience.
• Excellent communication and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Accepts specimens from delivery person, window or pneumatic tube system and verifies labeling.
• Process and accession samples; prepare for automated instrumentation.
• Register patients and place orders; answer phones and provide customer service.
• Process and prepare samples for referral to outside laboratories; track status.
• Verify test orders and communicate results to providers per SOP.
