A leading government agency in South Carolina is seeking a correctional transport officer responsible for the safe transport of inmates across various custody levels. The role includes supervising inmate movements, ensuring safety protocols, and maintaining communication with hospital staff. Applicants must possess a high school diploma and relevant experience, with opportunities for advancement through training and certification.
Schedule and provide safe transport of inmates in all custody levels, including post-convictions relief (PCR), medical appointments, parole, and extraditions. This includes inmates in safe-keepers (SK), special management units (SMU), security detention (SD), regional courts, and hospital transfers for both males and females.
Must successfully complete an eight (8) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
Minimum Requirements:
