Job summary

Tempus is seeking an (Sr)Associate - Sequencing Strategy & Operations to drive BD opportunities and commercial logistics for Life Science Sequencing/CDx initiatives. You will draft client proposals, coordinate cross-functional GTM activities, and analyze markets to sharpen messaging.

The role requires 2+ years in pharma/biotech or consulting, with strong writing and client-facing experience, and a collaborative, fast-paced mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pharma, biotech, or consulting experience with a track record of strong execution.
• Customer-facing experience, preferably in BD, client services, or consulting.
• Strong written communication skills, with experience drafting client-facing materials or proposals.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Support BD team in developing partnership opportunities with biopharma and academic accounts.
• Draft and refine client-facing proposals, contracts, and communications.
• Execute commercial marketing activities including campaigns, events, and collateral.
• Source biotech and research targets through systematic research.
• Conduct strategic and market analysis to identify differentiators for marketing materials.
• Collaborate across commercial, medical, product, regulatory, and lab teams on GTM strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer engagement and KPI tracking.
• Coordinate with Operations, Account Management, Product & Engineering on data for product enhancements.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholder organizations and track milestones for projects.
