Allied Water Services is seeking an experienced Septic Pumper with a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) and tanker endorsement to join our team. This position involves performing septic tank pumping services, inspecting systems for potential issues, and identifying opportunities to recommend additional services to customers.

The ideal candidate has hands-on septic pumping experience, a strong understanding of septic systems, and the customer service skills needed to recognize customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates professionally, and understands how to turn service calls into opportunities for additional business through honest, knowledgeable recommendations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform septic tank pumping and related septic service work.
  • Safely operate and maintain septic pumping trucks and associated equipment.
  • Drive commercial vehicles in compliance with applicable safety regulations.
  • Inspect septic systems and components for visible signs of damage, wear, or potential problems.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services, including septic inspections, repairs, maintenance, and system replacements when appropriate.
  • Educate customers about their septic systems and explain recommended services.
  • Communicate findings and service recommendations clearly and professionally.
  • Identify and report potential issues that may require further evaluation by a qualified technician.
  • Provide accurate service documentation, including job notes, photos, and customer recommendations.
  • Build positive customer relationships and represent the company professionally.
  • Maintain equipment, vehicles, and job sites in a clean and safe condition.
  • Follow all applicable safety, environmental, and company procedures.
  • Work with the office and field team to communicate customer needs and follow up on potential service opportunities.
Requirements
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) required.
  • Valid tanker endorsement required.
  • Previous septic pumping experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of septic systems, components, and common problems.
  • Ability to recognize potential system issues and recommend appropriate next steps.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable discussing additional services and identifying legitimate sales opportunities.
  • Dependable, punctual, organized, and safety-conscious.
  • Ability to perform physical work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to complete service records accurately and communicate findings to the office.
Sales and Customer Service Expectations

This position requires more than pumping septic tanks. We need someone who understands the septic industry and can recognize opportunities to grow the business while providing genuine value to customers.

The successful candidate will:

  • Look for legitimate opportunities to recommend additional services based on observed conditions and customer needs.
  • Explain the benefits of septic inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and other relevant services.
  • Communicate recommendations clearly without pressuring customers or making unsupported claims.
  • Document potential work and communicate leads to the office for estimates, scheduling, or follow-up.
  • Help increase revenue through excellent service, customer trust, and knowledgeable recommendations.
What We're Looking For

We want an experienced septic professional who is mechanically capable, customer-focused, and motivated to help grow the business. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, recognizes opportunities beyond the immediate service call, and understands that customer satisfaction and business growth go hand in hand.

Applicants must have septic pumping experience, a valid CDL-A, and a tanker endorsement. This is a hands-on service position with customer interaction and sales opportunity identification responsibilities.
